Family, Friends Hold Vigil for Murdered Raleigh Teen

RALEIGH — While Wake County deputies search for the person who killed a Raleigh teenager, family and friends are back at the murder scene lighting candles in his memory.

A neighbor discovered the body of Usama Husein, 16, in a small ditch near his home on Presnell Court Saturday morning. According to the autopsy report, the teen had been shot several times.

Sunday night, dozens of friends returned to the crime scene to remember Husein and console one another.

One teen says Husein was part of a very close-knit group of friends.

A funeral is scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m.

Wake deputies say Husein had several criminal charges pending against him, including felony assault and burglary.

Deputies say they have some leads, but have not made any arrests in the case.
