Cary Town Council Votes For Irrigation Restrictions

CARY — Last summer's watering restrictions have just become permanent for parts of the Triangle area.The Cary Town Councilvoted 4-3 for a year-round irrigation restriction.
Beginning May 1, residents of Cary and Morrisville, along with RDU International and parts of Research Triangle Park, will be on an alternate day watering schedule.
  • Homes with odd numbered addresses can water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
  • Homes with even numbered addresses can water Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • No watering is allowed on Monday.
  • Special permits will be issued to people trying to establish a new lawn. Postcards explaining the system will go out to everyone who is affected next week.
