CARY — Last summer's watering restrictions have just become permanent for parts of the Triangle area.The Cary Town Councilvoted 4-3 for a year-round irrigation restriction.
Beginning May 1, residents of Cary and Morrisville, along with RDU International and parts of Research Triangle Park, will be on an alternate day watering schedule.Homes with odd numbered addresses can water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Homes with even numbered addresses can water Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. No watering is allowed on Monday.
Special permits will be issued to people trying to establish a new lawn. Postcards explaining the system will go out to everyone who is affected next week.
