<b>DURHAM</b> — Late night and early morning travelers are being warned to  steer clear of Interstate 40.

Both directions may be reduced to one lane  between mile markers 275 and 277 near Fayetteville Road in Durham.

Drivers should expect slow going from 11:30 p.m.  until 6 a.m. while the work zone is open.
