Fire investigators say a fire that broke out at James A. Boyer Hall on campus Tuesday night forced more than 170 students to evacuate the building.
Campus leaders think a student may be responsible for the blaze.
"The fire could have grown into something much larger and much bigger," says Byron Bullock of St. Augustine's College. "It might have had a terrible impact on the residents in the residence hall."
Investigators say the same elevator at Boyer Hall had been set on fire just a few days ago.
No one was hurt either time, but investigators are concerned.
The fires are currently under investigation, and authorities say they do not have any suspects.
