Posted Updated

WAKE COUNTY — TheWake County School Boardis making headway on approving a new student reassignment plan.

The board spent more than three hours Tuesday night on the plan. While most reassignments will take place, hundreds of students will get to stay at their present schools.

Among the changes, Wilburn and Rolesville Elementary students will avoid a move to Fox Road Elementary.

In addition, a group of Leesville Elementary students who live next door to Leesville schools will not have to move to Millbrook.

The board hopes to approve the revised plan by April 3. -->
