Halifax Animal Shelter Criticized By Animal Rights Group

Posted Updated

HALIFAX COUNTY, N.C. — An animal rights group alleges the Halifax County animal shelter broke the law.

Justice for Animals said workers at the facility do not sedate animals before putting them down. A representative for the animal shelter said that is not true.

The animal rights group also claims the shelter is filthy and the animals are not properly fed.

Those claims have also been denied by shelter officials.
