Classes Help Laid-Off Workers Reenter the Job Market

RALEIGH — As the economy slows down, layoffs and rumors are swirling around many companies. Many employees are having a hard time reentering the job market. Classes in the Triangle are designed to help.

Right Management Consultants in Raleigh helps clients learn to move on after losing their job. They help people hone their skills in areas like resume-writing and interviewing.

"We help them identify their successes, their strengths and their accomplishments," said Jim Koehneke, the company's president. "We help them get that on paper and get excited about how to communicate that to people in the market."

The classes are free for laid-off workers. The companies that are laying off people foot the bill as part of the severance package.
