Ft. Bragg Soldier Killed in Training Incident

FORT BRAGG — For the third time in a week, a Fort Bragg soldier has died in a training accident.

Thirty-six-year-old Master Sgt. Gaetano J. Cutino was doing a jump exercise from a helicopter. The accident happened on a training range on post.

Fort Bragg officials have also released the name of the second soldier who died in a separate training incident in Savannah, Ga.

Lt. Col. Timothy Boyles of Brandon Fla., was one of two Green Berets who died in the Savannah River. Recovery crews found his body Thursday.

Earlier in the week, divers recovered the body of Sgt. Eric Ellingson of Montana.

Three other soldiers on the training mission were uninjured.
