Students Look to Higher Power for a Safe School Year

Posted Updated

APEX — One Triangle school is looking to a higher power for a safe school year. Parents and students ofApex High Schoolspent the day talking and meeting one another.

Afterwards, they walked around the school for the annual prayer walk organized by students and faculty. They say they base the event on the biblical story of Joshua, in which the walls of a city came tumbling down.

"We are not praying for the walls to fall," says Aaron Chappell. "We are just praying for the things, such as alcohol use and the things students do and say."

Chappell is an Apex graduate. He joined several other former students who participated in the annual prayer walk.
