Construction Leaves Parts Of Downtown Raleigh Dusty

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — It is not a dust bowl, but downtown Raleigh is not exactly spotless.

The convention center and Fayetteville Street Mall construction projects are leaving a thin layer of dirt and dust behind.

The area is constantly cleaned, but Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker said it is like a home improvement project -- you just have to grin and bear it.

The Fayetteville Street Mall project should be finished by May. The convention center should be completed in a few years.
