GREENSBORO — The head of the Episcopal church says he expects homosexuals to play a greater role in the church in the future.
Bishop Frank Griswold made the remark at the annual Episcopal convention this week in Greensboro.
The North Carolina diocese is considering a resolution that would ask for gays and lesbians to be added to the list of those protected by the state's hate-crime law.
Griswold says the church isn't ready yet to decide whether gays should be married or ordained.
