RDU INTERNATIONAL — Most flights in and out ofRaleigh Durham International Airportare back on schedule. Dozens of flights were cancelled Wednesday due to Hurricane Bonnie, causing a ripple effect nationwide.
Many airlines did not have aircraft stay overnight and therefore had to cancel some early morning flights.
It's recommended that all passengers arrive at the airport an hour before the scheduled departure time. With so many flights cancelled Wednesday, passengers are being rebooked. That takes extra time and means planes will be full.
Many people are calling airlines toll-free numbers to check on flight times. You may have trouble getting through, so be patient. The airlines say it's safe to assume your flight is on schedule.
