RALEIGH — Just as the unseasonable balmy temperatures dropped into the 40s and 50s, WRAL-TV5 staged its annual "Coats for the Children" campaign.
Thanks to the generous response from WRAL viewers and the OnLine audience, lots of children will be bundled up against the cold this winter.
Saturday, WRAL's "Coats for the Children" drive raised more than $69,000 to help keep kids warm this winter.
And that's a record.
Thanks to everyone who wrote a check or dropped off coats and jackets!!
