MORRISVILLE — Military families whose loved ones won't be home for Christmas are helping each other get through the holidays.
Five hundred friends and relatives of National Guardsmen gathered to celebrate the holiday season Sunday. They watched a video made by troops stationed in Kuwait.
"It's pretty difficult," said Liz Blackmon, whose husband in stationed in Kuwait. "This is the first time that I have ever experienced it. We have others who've been through it before, but it's difficult."
The National Guard troops were sent to Kuwait in September. They are scheduled to return in March.
