CARY — Cary police are searching for two suspects in a robbery, kidnapping, and shooting outside a downtown restaurant.

Investigators say Mark Evans was using the pay phone outside the Blimpie Sub Shop on East Chatham Street, just after 8 p.m. Thursday when he was abducted.

Evans says he was robbed at gunpoint and taken into a car. He managed to get away, but the suspects shot him.

Evans was transported to Western Wake Hospital for treatment, and was released from the hospital Friday.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Cary Police.
