RALEIGH — A man with a multi-faceted career is now the subject of a biography. Durham's Leroy Walker -- legendary former NCCU track coach, former chancellor of that university, head of the US Olympic Committee for four years, and president of next year's Special Olympics World Games -- had led a life worthy of a biography.
And the book has been written by someone familiar to people who have watched WRAL over the years.
Former news anchorman Charlie Gaddy was at a Raleigh bookshop Sunday to discuss the book, "An Olympic Journey: The Saga of an Amercan Hero, LeRoy T. Walker."
Walker was chancellor from 1983 - 1986, and led the U.S. delegation to the Olympics staged in Atlanta.
