Posted Updated

LUMBERTON — Two people were taken into custody Sunday night, after deputies discovered about 190 pounds of pot in a car after a routine traffic stop along Interstate-95 in Robeson County.

Constantino Jimenez, 26, and Rosalinda Espinosa, 25, both of Florida, have been charged with seven counts each of trafficking, possession, and conspiracy to sell marijuana.

Sheriff's deputies stopped the car along I-95 North near the 6-mile marker in southern Robeson County at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday. They declined to say why they stopped the car.

A small child was also in the car. He was taken into state custody.

Deputies did not speculate on the street value of the marijuana.
