Man Drowns in Falls Lake

Falls Lake Recreation Area Superintendent David Kellam says Javier Camergo drowned about 3:30 p.m.

Kellam said Camergo was in the designated swimming area at Beaver Dam. He swam to the outer boundary, and was on his way back to shore when he went under.

Within about seven minutes, park visitors found him, pulled him from the water and began cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Emergency crews continued the effort to revive him enroute to the hospital, without success.
