Arrest Made in Lumberton Store Shooting

LUMBERTON — Less than a week after a deadly robbery attempt at a Lumberton convenience store, two suspects are behind bars. Police arrested 24-year-old Tommy Bodean Davis of Lumberton when he turned himself in at 10:15 Saturday night.

Friday night, police arrested 19-year-old Arthur Lee Davis and charged him with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. Tommy Davis faces the same charges.

Last Sunday, two men shot a clerk at the Spinx convenience store while they tried to rob it. The clerk died Monday.
