Fire Closes Raleigh Wal-Mart

RALEIGH — Shortly after noon, shopping came to an abrupt halt at the Raleigh Wal-Mart store on Glenwood Avenue. Fire broke out in a storage area.

The store's customers and staff immediately left the building. There was no report of injuries or deaths.

Investigation continues into the cause of the blaze, which began about 1 p.m.
