Durham Police Search For Home Invasion Suspect
Durham police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a February 15 home invasion.
Posted — UpdatedAuthorities said an 85-year-old man told officers he heard a knock on his door around 9:30 a.m. and looked outside, but did not see anyone at first. He told officers Aaron Aron Boxley, 38, of South Woodcrest Stret, then approached the door and asked the resident for some work.
When the resident said he didn’t have a job for him, investigators said Boxley forced his way into the house and shoved the resident to the floor. The two men struggled and the victim was slashed on the hands and neck with a box cutter.
Boxley is wanted on charges of breaking and entering, larceny after a break-in, larceny of a motor vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Anyone with information on Boxley’s whereabouts is asked to call Investigator T.A. Guess at 560-4281, ext. 228 or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200.
