Lester Ham dialed 9-1-1 from his car Friday morning to ask for help. He was killed moments later.

Deputies say they believe Ham's killer called soon after to say he had found Ham's car. They have released the 9-1-1 tape.

The man, later identified as 37-year-old Gerald Pinckney, encountered officers with an apparent handgun. An officer told Pickney repeatedly to drop the gun, but he refused and began walking toward the officers while showing the gun.
