Attorneys Work to Spare Life of Convicted Murderer

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — In Raleigh, it's a question of life or death for the jurors deliberating the fate of John Williams.

The drifter from Georgia was found guilty Friday of killing two women and assaulting several others.

Doctors testified Monday that Williams was traumatized as a child by the sexual abuse of his sister and doesn't remember committing any crimes.

The defense will continue its case in the morning.
