Teen Arrested in Attack on 80-Year-Old Man

A teenager wanted in connection with the beating and robbery of an elderly Henderson man was arrested Friday, authorities said.

HENDERSON, N.C. — A teenager wanted in connection with the beating and robbery of an elderly Henderson man was arrested Friday, authorities said.

Robert Brodie, 17, of 416 Harriett St. in Henderson, is charged with two counts of common-law robbery and one count of assault inflicting serious bodily injury.

U.S. marshals arrested Brodie in Henderson Friday afternoon.

On Feb. 27, Herman Clark, 80, was attacked and robbed by three teens outside the Styl-ees Beauty Salon in Henderson. Clark's hip was broken in two places because of the beating, police said.

Henderson police arrested Tamil Robinson, 16, and Reuben Cooper, 18, earlier this week in connection with the assault.
