GARNER, N.C. — An Amtrak train resumed its trip back to Miami after an unexpected delay in Garner.
The train hit a car on the tracks near the intersection of Yeargan and Garner roads.
Police say a woman was about to make a left turn onto Garner road when her car got stuck. She was able to make a safe escape.
No one on the train was hurt.
The train was headed to Miami from New York. It was delayed an hour and a half. It is expected to arrive in Florida later Wednesday morning.
