ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — This weekend's Christmas parade in Roanoke Rapids is off limits to animals.
City officials plan to issue $500 fines to people who bring their dogs.
A number of recent dog attacks has people in that town on edge, so they want to make sure the dogs don't spoil Sunday's parade.
Entertainer Randy Parton will serve as the grand marshal.
