Hit-And-Run Driver Strikes Utility Pole In Durham

DURHAM, N.C. — Power has been restored in Durham after a hit-and-run driver struck a power pole.

The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Hillsborough Road in Durham around 3 a.m. Authorities found the suspect's vehicle.

The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was later arrested by authorities.

Crews had to install a new power pole. As a result, officials shut down part of Hillsborough Road from Main Street to Lawndale Avenue.
