FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are investigating the death of an unidentified man who was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night.
According to a preliminary police report, at about 10 p.m., the man was struck by a Mercury Mountaineer on Duncan Street near Blanton Street.
The man was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he later died.
Police said that the driver, Joshua Lane Huffman, 21, of Fayetteville, was charged with DWI.
The accident remains under investigation and police said that additional charges could be filed.
