Longtime Businessman Suspect In Shooting Of Marine Reservist
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — It will be at least another month before it's known if anyone will be charged in connection with the shooting a Marine reservist in Fayetteville last year.

Lance Corporal John Lake III was shot in the head Oct. 16 on Bragg Boulevard. He remains hospitalized in a coma.

The only suspect in the incident is Steve Satisky, a former Fayetteville City Councilman. He has not been charged.

District Attorney Ed Grannis had said he planned to seek an indictment this week, but now said he wants Lake's medical records beforehand. It's possible Grannis could go after an indictment when the grand jury meets again next month.
