Raleigh Leaders Ready In Case Of Winter Weather

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — There is no snow in the forecast, but the city of Raleigh said it is ready when Jack Frost comes calling.

City leaders do not want a repeat of January's gridlock from less than an inch of snow. As part of their winter weather plan, they have stockpiled salt and brine for roads.

If winter weather hits unexpectedly, the city would ask drivers to stay off main roads until they were cleared. Officials would also ask drivers to limit their cell phone calls to keep phone lines clear.
