JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — An accused drunken driver may face manslaughter charges for a deadly accident in Johnston County.
The state Highway Patrol said 20-year-old Ashley Williams pulled out in front of a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of
Highway 39 and Earpsboro Road
. The SUV swerved to avoid Williams' car and rolled over.
Mari-Leigh Baker was thrown from the vehicle. She died when it landed on top of her.
Right now, Williams is charged with DWI and a stop sign violation. More charges are expected.
