Wade Shows Suspends FASTPass Program For State Fair

officials have decided not to go with a program that was a source of contention for potential fairgoers.

Wade Shows, the operator for this year's State Fair, has suspended its

FASTPass

program.

"Due to misconceptions about this pilot program, we have decided to suspend FASTPass for this year," said Frank Zaitshik, the company's owner. "We will re-evaluate the FASTPass program and seek ways to better inform the public about it."

For $10, fairgoers could get a wristband that would give them priority in the ride lines. It modeled the pass after similar passes at places like Disney World.

Many people were upset about the program because they believed those who had more money could get a better place in line for rides.

Fairgoers who have already purchased a FASTPass online may redeem them at the FASTPass ticket booth on the Midway for two books of ride tickets and $10 in Food Bucks.
