RALEIGH, N.C. — The CIAA is chipping in to help the relief efforts in the Gulf Coast.
The conference announced Wednesday that it's donating $10,000 to the American Red Cross for victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
The CIAA joined forces with the Red Cross in 2001.
The Red Cross uses the conference's basketball tournament to promote blood donations and health screenings in the African-American community.
