SPRING LAKE, N.C. — A Cumberland County couple who left their two toddlers home alone faced criminal charges Tuesday night.

Spring Lake police said they had arrest warrants charging James and Marcia Hunt with child abuse.

A family friend found the 1- and 2-year-old children Sunday night inside their Spring Lake mobile home. They were unharmed, and are now staying with their grandmother.

Police said James Hunt is also wanted for violating probation.
