Former Hurricanes Player Receives Probation For DWI

RALEIGH, N.C. — A former hockey player with the Carolina Hurricanes admitted Thursday he drove drunk.

Raleigh police pulled over Jeff O'Neill back in March.

O'Neill, who played forward for the Hurricanes, received a suspended sentence and 12 months of unsupervised probation.

O'Neill now lives and plays hockey in Toronto.
