State Rescinds Fine On Fayetteville Group Home

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The state is easing up on a group home where a 15-year-old girl died.

State officials say My Brother's Keeper in Fayetteville was supposed to take the girl to a doctor's appointment but did not. She died a week later.

The state originally blamed the home for her death, cited the workers and fined them, but officials changed their minds.

According to published reports, they dropped the fine and reduced the citation.
