RALEIGH, N.C. — Crews are turning Fayetteville Street Mall back into a street, but the construction is causing some issues for pedestrians.
Construction barriers jut out into Martin Street, taking away a popular sidewalk near the Wake County Courthouse.
People are walking right out into the street, and into traffic.
The city wants pedestrians to use a new crosswalk down the street. Construction should be finished in May.
