Orange County Authorities Look For Motive In Double Shooting

Authorities are investigating a double shooting in Orange County that left one man dead.

Investigators said the shootings occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Odie Street. Neighbors said they heard gunshots and saw a man lying in the road.

According to reports, Ronnie Snipes, who lived in the area, was shot in the head and 41-year-old Henry Jennings was shot in the stomach. Authorities said Snipes and Jennings knew each other. A revolver was recovered at the scene.

Authorities said Snipes died from his gunshot wound. Jennings was taken to UNC Hospitals for surgery. His condition is not known.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation to look for a possible motive in the shooting. Authorities said at this point, they are not looking for any suspects.
