Fayetteville To Name Interim Police Chief
Fayetteville leaders will announce their interim replacement for police chief. Current police Chief Tom McCarthy will retire in February.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The city of Fayetteville will announce the selection of an interim police chief on Tuesday.
Current police Chief Tom McCarthy is slated to retire in February. McCarthy, who has been police chief since 2001, has been in law enforcement for 29 years.
Fayetteville city leaders will also explain their plan to find a permanent chief.
