JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A pick-up truck veered off Highway 242 near Goldwin Lake Road on the Johnston and Sampson county lines Friday and slammed into a tree, troopers said.
Two people riding in the bed of the pick-up truck were ejected, troopers said.
Three people were sent to the hospital.
But, troopers said, their injuries did not appear life threatening.
Troopers said charges were pending in the accident.
