Orange Health Officials: No Sign Teacher Passed On Meningitis

ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — The Orange County Health Department said there is no sign that a teacher with bacterial meningitis passed on the disease.

The teacher, whose name has not been released, died last week.

Health officials questioned people who came into contact with the teacher and gave them preventative treatment, but there is no sign of any other infections.

The teacher's students are not at risk of infection, officials said.
