Wake County School Board Proposes Plan For Year-Round Schools

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — About 5,000 new students are expected to pour into Wake County schools next year.

School board members met Tuesday to figure out where they should go.

They are considering a plan to make 15 elementary schools and five middle schools year-round.

Last year, the board decided to build modular schools, but there is not enough space to add more this year.

The entire board will consider the proposal at its next meeting.
