Durham Deputies Destroy Hundreds Of Marijuana Plants

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham County sheriff's deputies started destroying more than 1,300 marijuana plants.

A National Guard helicopter spotted the drugs in a field near Ellis Road last week.

Deputies say the plants could have sold for more than $7 million on the street.

Investigators still do not know who grew the marijuana plants.
