Former Fort Bragg Commander Sues Library Of Congress For Gender Discrimination

Posted Updated

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A former Special Forces battalion commander at Fort Bragg has sued the Library of Congress for gender discrimination.

Retired Col. David J. Schroer said he was offered a job with a division in the library. Schroer said he then informed his future boss that he was going to begin a medical process to change his gender.

Schoer claimed the job offer was withdrawn the next day.

Officials with the Library of Congress declined to comment.
