Cary Police Chief Retiring To Spend Time With Family

CARY, N.C. — A local police chief is turning in his badge to spend more time with his family.

Cary Police Chief Windy Hunter is retiring Tuesday after 29 years on the force.

Hunter was promoted to chief seven years ago.

Under his leadership, the town was recognized as one of the top 10 safest cities in the United States.
