RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police now think an eviction attempt motivated a double shooting and mobile home fire last month.
Investigators say Nathanial Winters went over to his sister-in law's house to help Karen Winters tell Bernard Sanford he had to move out.
Police say Sanford shot both of them, then set the home on fire.
Nathaniel Winters died from a single gunshot to the head. Karen Winters survived.
Sanford is now charged with murder, arson and assault.
