RALEIGH, N.C. — Jurors spent Tuesday afternoon deliberating a federal discrimination case that involves a hangman's noose.
Seven black workers are suing the North Carolina Department of Transportation. They claim that DOT management allowed a noose to hang in a Raleigh shop for a month in February 2002.
The DOT said it is a misunderstanding that has already been cleared by two investigations.
Deliberations continue Wednesday.
