DURHAM, N.C. — Earl Snyder's fifth-inning grand slam capped off a six-run inning for the Bulls and the bullpen made it hold up as Durham knocked off the Ottawa Lynx 10-6 on Saturday evening at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The fireworks began for the Bulls with two outs and the score tied at one apiece in the fifth inning.

B.J. Upton and Jonny Gomes hit back-to-back doubles to break the tie, and then Munson singled scoring Gomes to make it 3-1. Pete LaForest followed with a single and Tim Laker walked to set up Snyder's blast to centerfield, making the score 7-1 in favor of the Bulls.

Upton launched his third home run of the season in the sixth inning and LaForest hit his team-leading ninth home run, a two-run shot, in the seventh to round out the scoring for the Bulls.

RHP Chris Brock (2-3) picked up the win, pitching five innings and allowing one run on two hits and three walks.
