School Bus Wreck Knocks Down Power Lines In Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — A school bus accident that knocked down some power lines caused traffic backups in Smithfield Tuesday afternoon.

The wreck happened in the 2700 block of Highway 70 Business in Smithfield, which is near Barber Road.

No children were injured in the wreck.

Power lines were downed across Highway 70. There is no word on how many customers are without power because of the wreck.
