RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh high school bus and a pick-up truck collided Wednesday afternoon, slightly injuring the bus driver.
The bus from Southeast Raleigh High School had 26 children on it when it was hit on the driver's side by a pick-up truck. The wreck happened near the intersection of
Tryon Road and Trailwood Drive
at about 3:15 p.m.
The pick-up truck then collided head-on with a guardrail.
The bus driver suffered an injured finger. No children on the bus were hurt.
The pick-up truck driver, Kevin Thompson, 34, of Apex is in serious condition at WakeMed.
Police said they expect to file charges of driving left of center against Thompson.
